New Melissa Etheridge album "The Medicine Show" coming April 12

New Melissa Etheridge album "The Medicine Show" coming April 12

Concord RecordsMelissa Etheridge is back to show us all that music is the best medicine.

Her new album The Medicine Show — her first collection of original songs since 2014 — comes out April 12.  She says of the disc, “Medicine Show deals with universal themes of renewal, reconciliation, reckoning, compassion and, most profoundly, healing. I cannot wait to share new songs with you.”

The album’s songs take on the biggest current topics, including mental health, gun control and the #metoo movement.

The album’s artwork carries the subtitle, “An unrivaled true story of redemption and a ’74 Fender.”  A Fender is a guitar, by the way.

Melissa is also launching a tour in support of the disc, which kicks off March 29 in Bonita Springs, Florida, and is scheduled to wrap up July 13 in Chandler, Arizona. Between March 31 and April 7, she’ll be hosting fans on her annual fan cruise.
