Ringo Starr is among the well-known musicians who have contributed to veteran indie-rocker Jenny Lewis‘ new solo album, On the Line, which will be released on March 22.
The former Beatles drummer, along with founding Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench and acclaimed producer/bassist Don Was, back Lewis throughout the record, including on a newly released track titled “Heads Gonna Roll” that premiered Wednesday at Jenny’s official YouTube channel.
Starr, Tench and Was also are featured on the lead single of On the Line, “Red Bull & Hennessy,” as is veteran session drummer Jim Keltner. That song was released digitally last month.
Those who pre-order On the Line will receive instant free downloads of both “Heads Gonna Roll” and “Red Bull & Hennessy.”
Lewis is the former frontwoman of the popular indie band Rilo Kiley.
As previously reported, Ringo and his All Starr Band will launch their 2019 tour with a one-off U.S. show on March 21 in Valley Center, California. The group then will head to Japan for an early spring tour running from March 27 to April 11. Ringo and the All Starrs also have a North American summer trek scheduled from August 1 in Windsor, Canada, through a September 1 concert in Los Angeles. Visit RingoStarr.com for full details.
