Six-CD version of The Police's 'Every Move You Make' box set to be released in November

UMeLast year, The Police marked the 40th anniversary of its debut album, Outlandos d’Amour, by releasing a vinyl box set called Every Move You Make: The Studio Recordings.  Now, a six-CD version of collection will hit stores on November 8.

The package features newly remastered versions of the band’s five studio records — Outlandos d’Amour, 1979’s Reggatta de Blanc, 1980’s Zenyatta Mondatta, 1981’s Ghost in the Machine and 1983’s Synchronicity — plus the new rarities compilation Flexible Strategies.  That includes non-album tracks and B-sides, and includes a rare 1983 remix on “Truth Hits Everybody.”

The CDs are housed in gatefold digipak wallets and come packaged in a clamshell-style box.

Formed in 1977, The Police featured singer/bassist Sting, guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland and became one of the most popular acts to emerge from the New Wave scene. All five Police studio albums have sold at least a million copies in the U.S., with the chart-topping Synchronicity being the group’s most successful release, having sold more than eight million copies in the States.

Among the memorable Police songs and hits featured in the box: “Roxanne,” “Message in a Bottle,” “Walking on the Moon,” “Don’t Stand So Close to Me,” “Driven to Tears,” “De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da,” “Spirits in the Material World,” “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” “King of Pain,” “Synchronicity II”  and the #1 smash “Every Breath You Take.”
