Neil Peart, Rush drummer and lyricist, dead at 67

According to CBC.ca, a spokesperson for Peart’s family revealed in a statement that the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer passed away on Tuesday, January 7, in Santa Monica, California, after having been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Peart’s death was confirmed by Rush media rep Meg Symysk.
